The Daniel Hertzler House was built in 1854-1855, a Pennsylvania Style Bank House and is an interesting study of 19th century architecture, a design for convenience and an example of Midwestern individualism. The house was built as a farm home for a rich Mennonite and the furnishings reflect this theme. The d?cor centers on the pre-Civil War period. There are a few pieces from the family and the remainder are antiques of the period.
The Pennsylvania House Museum is a 24-room former stagecoach inn, built in the early 1800's along the Historic National Road. The museum has an extensive display of antique furnishings, antique dolls and one of the largest antique button collections in the U.S.
